Holiday Gift Guide: For The Fashionista In Your Life!

Hello!

Christmas is just around the corner! Yayyyyyyyyy!!!!! I love the Holiday season so much :D. There's about 12 days left till the gift-giving starts, if you haven't began already that is! (lol) So I've put together a few posts that I hope is helpful if you need to grab some last minute gifts.

1. Rebecca Minkoff Jacquard Becky Jacket $398
This jacket is adorable!!!! It's a great piece to add to any fashionista's wardrobe!

What a great accessory! Fashionable and convenient.

Pretty.... (lol). This is a great clutch for a holiday dinner! Small, but bold. It will stand out perfectly (^.^)

4. A to Z of Style $19.95, but it might be cheaper on Amazon
The fashionista in your life would definitely love this fashion dictionary full of inspirations. It would look pretty on the bookshelf too.

I loooooooove his scarf! It's pretty long so it can be styled many ways. The one in the picture is Sparkling Grape Multi, but it comes in 3 other colors. Purple is my favorite, but I think the Black Multi would be super easy to match yet eye-catching because of the pops of white.

Shopping for gifts for others is always so much fun! I hope my mini guide helps, there's more guides to come. Happy Shopping!

Thanksgiving Activities & Black Friday Shopping!

I'm back!!! :D!

I know I'm really late on this post, but it's better late than never, right?
This weekend is definitely going to be an crazy one. Today isThanksgiving which means... LOTS OF FOOD! YES! For a huge foodie like me, Thanksgiving is aweeeeeeeeesome! (haha) The Holidays are by far my favorite time of year. It's festive, bright, cold and warm at the same time! It's wonderful and a great time to share lots of laughter and smiles.

In NYC, the Macy's Thanksgiving parade is always a big event. It's a great activity to do with family and friends, but I definitely prefer to snuggle on my coach and watch it from the TV (lol). Did anyone go watch it in person this morning?

After (or for some, during) Thanksgiving is the infamous Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend! Lots of camping out at stores and shopping drama. I gathered a few iPhone apps I found that were rather helpful and hopefully will help you sort through all the chaos this weekend.

1. tgiBlackFriday by dealcatcher and xtransmogrify
This app makes finding popular deals easy to see and finding deals via stores and categories just as simple. There's a search option which makes trying to narrow down a deal even faster and you can add the items you want to keep an eye on in your easy-to-access list.

2. Black Friday by fatwallet.com
I love this app! The layout is so simple and I love the look of it. When you first open the app, search by stores and categories icons are conveniently placed as well as all the different features in a handy left sidebar easily accessed by a tap of the menu icon on the top left. Search is also a feature that will help narrow down the list of ads to find what you want.

3. tgiCyberMonday
This app is by the same people of the first one. It works pretty much the same way except for CyberMonday deals.

What I love about these 3 apps are that they have the products' name, price, and picture clear for you plus a scan of the actual ad so you know these deals are real. Hopefully these apps help you through the chaos!

Lastly, here are my few personal tips to prep yourself for the Black Friday shopping rush:
- Use a big and light shoulder bag that has a zipper closure. Something like the Longchamp Le Pliage works best. One, you can fit a lot of what you buy in it. This will help when you're in a hurry to get out of the store or if you're shopping on foot. Two, the zipper closure will lessen the possibility of someone stealing your wallet or stuff. Three, the shoulder strap bag makes it easier on your shoulders and still gives easy access to your wallet. This is going to be gold when you're rushing in and out of stores.
- Carry a water bottle and snacks. Having some snacks will give you extra energy because it can get pretty hectic and tiring. You'll definitely need water, you'll be parched by the end of the spree.
- Keep wallets in check. If you're paying with cash, have your bills separate. Big bills together, small bills together, and a separate thing of change (if you really need it). If you're paying by cards, know which one you will use at which store.

Well that's my top tips! Oh and one more thing, GIRLS, wear a watch and a hair tie on your wrists. They'll come in handy!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, everyone! :D

xx,
Evey(^.~)

Sinful Color's Luminary! It's a pale peachy pink with sparkles-- a very nice color.

Revlon Minted! I've been wanted to add this one to my collection for a few months now and I finally got it! Yay(: It's such a nice pastel, it'll be great for Summer.

So that's my haul! I hope you guys enjoyed it^^. Stay tuned for my Orlando adventure!

Shopping Haul: TJ Maxx!

Hi all!

I'm leaving for Orlando, Florida on Saturday with my gfs! I can't believe our trips is finally here!! We began planning this trip in October, so we've really been anticipating this Saturday to come. We have most of our itinerary planned, but there aremany things we want to do and so little time :( ! This is my first time in Orlando, so I'm starting to get really excited (though it hasn't fully sunk in yet). Since it's Summer and it will be very warm in Florida, I had to do a little shoppingSo I took a little visit to TJ Maxx yesterday and I am now officially a Maxxinista! ;D Here's some pics of my little haul:

There were so many dresses, but I've never been a dress type of girl because I'm always soactive, a dress is kind of inconvenient. But in Orlando, it'll be really hot so I decided to give the dresses a try. The first dress ($19.99), I really love the pattern of the skirt! I think it was supposed to come with a belt, but there wasn't one :(. The second piece($24.99) is wearable as a skirt or a dress. I'm usually not big on these types of skirts/dresses because I'm not a skinny girl, but when I really liked it after I tried it on. It wasn't too short as a dress and the material is very soft and flowy. I did spend a lot of time pondering this one because it is more expensive than I wanted.

The shirt ($14.99) is super cute! They had different patterns, but I chose this one because of it's light colors. The straps are adjustable and the bow is a nice touchPerfect for work!(: To the right is the one piece that I knew I definitely was buying. They'redress pants ($14.99) that are flowy so it looks a little like a skirt! They're SUPER comfy and the little folding detail around the waist adds a touch of elegance. (Sorry for the not-so-good photos, it was terrible lighting.)

I know these aren't clothes, but I really wanted to show you guys the ice cream pop thingies I got! It was only $6.99 and basically I can fill the top part with ice cream and freeze it so that I can have my ice cream on the cone or I can freeze juice and have a nice"ice cream" popsicle! :D

The treats on the right are for my best friend's dog. I love my Pazu baby to death, but they never buy him treats. I'm always the one buying and giving him treats. My poor baby.. he should live with me instead ;p. Next time I'll post a great pic I edited of him. He looks so cuuuuuute!^^

That's all for my first clothing shopping haul! I might go shopping again on Thursday morning or Friday night (right before the trip :p). I'll be taking you guys on the trip with me and keep you posted with lots of pics of my Orlando adventure! So stay tuned!

Spring & Summer 2012 Trends!

Hi all!

MY FINALS ARE OVER! Yayyyyyyyyy! (lol) Anyway, since it's the middle of Spring and almost Summer, I wanted to share a few fashion trends I've been seeing a lot lately.

Pastel colors! Ooooooh I love pastel colors!(: This year, 'mint' is very popular and I'm not surprised because that color is just lovely.

Rose Gold Accessories! A nice rose gold watch is a simple, but greataccessory this Spring/Summer. This color will be a pretty match with pastels ^.^
Summer 2012 Trends: Rose Gold Accessories

Crossbody bags are perfect for Summer! They're lighter and can match any outfit. Great for trips or a day out
Summer 2012 Trends: Crossbody bags

Spring and Summer can be really hot, so jewelry can get tricky. If something is too chunky and big, it can feel heavy and icky. So I love wearing dainty jewelry and stud earrings because they're much lighter and very cute!

Last, but not least ANIMAL PRINTS! I've been seeing this around lately, especiallyCheetah print. Animal prints can look really nice with pastel colors; it gives that pop of boldness. I usually wear casual chic outfits, but have one piece of bold accessory(:
Summer 2012 Trends: Animal Prints

Since I only have work now, I have a little more free time. So I'll be doing some shopping soon! YAYYYY :D (lol) I'll definitely have items in my wardrobe following these trends, but I'll be adding a few of my own because... Trends are for inspiration! So my girlies, be a trend-setter and inspire others! (^.~)

I didn't mention this in the list of trends above, but Maxi dresses are very popular this year too. Except I'm kind of on the shorter side, so I don't think they look great on me :/. If you girls have any ideas on how to wear them, leave me a Rawrr! Thanks(;

Online Shopping: Summer's Perfect Watch!

Hi all!

Happy Online Shopping Post Day! (lol I love this "new holiday")
Recently I've been looking for a new watch to wear in the Spring/Summer. My current watch is a gold Guess watch adorned with crystals circling the dial. I absolutely love it and it's definitely one of my most worn accessory pieces. But for the warmer seasons, the watch feels very heavy and chunky on my wrist and the gold tone and dark brown background just doesn't look right as my wardrobe colors become softer and lighter.

This Spring, Rose Gold is very popular. Not only is it in trend, but it's also a very beautiful pink color. I love it and it's a perfect color for the warmer seasons! After a lot of "researching" through hundreds and hundreds of watches, I have narrowed it down to aTop 10!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Marci Strap 33MM   175.00
Marci Strap 33MM I love Marc Jacobs! Those who have read myCrossbody Bags post can kind of tell.. (lol) I really like this one because of the rose gold on grey here and I do like that it has a leather strap, which would be a nice changefrom my Guess watch. The only thing I don't like about leather straps are the imprints and creases left after a little while. :/

Marc by Marc Jacobs Marci 36MM  200.00
I really like this one a lot. It is a little more on the expensive side of the 10 watches, but it's so purtyyyyyy :3. I love the rose tint, itspinker than most and it just looks so simple yet classy at the same time. The dialisn't too big or thick, so it won't be too heavy or chunky on my wrist.

AK Anne Klein Round Leather Strap Watch  95.00
This one  is more of a light pink than rose gold I guess, but it's still a great color for warm weather nonetheless. What I like about this one is the part connecting the dial to the straps. It makes the watch look and probably feel smaller and it's gives a different style from most watches.

AK Anne Klein Round Roman Numeral Watch  65.00

I love this combination of colors -- rose gold, mother of pearl, pink leather, and crystal. Just like the Round Leather Strap Watch, the part connecting the dial to the straps really caught my attention. The Roman Numerals makes the watch different and overall I think it's very elegant~ (And just look at the price! It's definitely worth it! :D)

Betsey Johnson Floral Dial Watch  75.00

I am in loooooooove with this one! It's so... PRETTY :D. I love the florals (Flowers for Spring? How original, Evey. haha..) and the colors! I just don't like that the strap is white. Creases and scuffs are seen a lot more clearly on white.

Betsey Johnson 'Lots 'n' Lots of Time' Swirl Dial Watch  135.00
This one is so whimsical! And it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland (lol). This watch is also available with a white band, which looks really nice!

AK Anne Klein Single Diamond Bracelet Watch  125.00

This one isn't really my style.. it's a little too fancy for me, but I know other girls would love it. This strap gives a unique distinction from other watches.

AK Anne Klein Round Bracelet Watch  110.00

Totally loving this bracelet strap! It's so thinand slender^.^

AK Anne Klein Crisscross Bracelet Watch  75.00

Look at all the sparkly crystals! (lol) This watch has a very elegant look, and I really like the crisscross pattern, it gives the bracelet more definition. Also, the rectangular mother-of-pearl dial gives the watch a nice shape.

AK Anne Klein Charm Bracelet Watch  125.00

It's funny, I just noticed that many of the watches are AK. This one is obviously very different. It's cute, fun, and a little girly! A bracelet with charms is perfect for the fun Summer season.

Well girls, those were the Top 10! Now for 2 Honorable Mentions:

Betsey Johnson Crystal case & Patent Leather Strap Watch  95.00

Animal print seems to be very "in trend" this Spring, particularly cheetah and leopard print! This watch is definitely fun and bold, depending on what you wear, it could really work. I really love it, especially the ''where the '4' should be.

La Mer Multi Chain Bracelet Watch (in Rose Gold/Beach Stones)  176.00

This honorable mention is so cute! I love that ismulti chain and the contrast between the leather band next to the chain and beads. It looks like you're wearing a watch plus a bracelet. I'm just afraid that it would be too much for Spring/Summer in the heat, but it is a great combo!(:

I've seen some girls wear their watch with a Tiffany bracelet, which looks really cute o; !

So there you have it ladies! Time to decide which one I want to get for myself :3 Which one do you think I should get? Let me know, leave me a Rawrr!

Online Shopping: Crossbody Bags!

Hi all!

I woke up this afternoon with a bad headache so this post is late, I'm sorry :/. While watching MythBusters, I did a little online shopping (hehe..). In June, I'm taking a trip to Florida with my best girlfriends (WOOTWOOT!!) and we plan on hitting a couple of theme parks. Since I won't be allowed on to the rides with a big bag, I have been "researching" for a cute crossbody bag that's big enough to fit a few things like my phone, a sweater, a water bottle, etc, but small enough that they would let me bring it on the ride. I've been told that if the bag is small enough for me to lean back on during the ride, then they would let me bring it on. Oh, and of course it has to be cross body because a shoulder bag may fling out (and that wouldn't be good..lol). A cross body bag is perfect for trips andsightseeing because you don't have to lug extra things in your hand or on your shoulders. Now I just have to find one that's SUPER CUTE! (lol) So after what seemed likeENDLESS (and I really do mean hours of) searching, I've finally narrowed it down to 4!!

1. DKNY Heritage Vintage Leather Mini Crossbody
This lovely mini is $185. It's actually the cheapest of the 4, but still an average size among them. I like the front okay, but I absolutely love the inside. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I feel like the space is perfect.
The only thing I don't like is that the color is so light. This bag comes in only two colors-- Black or Nude. I don't think the black looks that good, but I'm afraid the Nude will get dirty easily :/. It's so difficult finding the perfect bag.

2. MARC BY MARC JACOBS Crossbody - Classic Q Percy

At $198, this one costs a little more than the DKNY bag, but its soooooo cute!! I love it, love it, love it! Except, it's a little smaller than what I wanted..

Also, bloomingdales only has it in 3 colors--Hazelnut (the color shown in the above picture, which is actually kind of nice), Black, and Blossom (which sounds like a light pink, but it's more like a fuchsia).

Although, the crossbody strap is not only adjustable, but detachable. I can use it as a clutch for the night time when we hit the clubs and lounges :D!

3. MARC BY MARC JACOBS Crossbody - Classic Q Natasha

This beauty is a little bigger than the Percy, which is great! And again they have it in Hazelnut^^.

The interior is basically the same-- two open pockets and a zipper pocket. It's obviouslyroomier than both the DKNY one and the Percy, just because of the fact that it is bigger. It can probably fit most of the stuff I would want to take on a day out at the theme parks.

I think the style is really cute with the folded flap and the zipper being at the end of that flap. If I add a classy keychain to the side, I'm sure I can dress it up for the night outs as well. The more I think about it, the more I think I might actually like this one more than the DKNY one now (lol!). BUT, it's also a lot pricier... $368... Why does there always have to be a 'but'?? :'(

 4. MARC BY MARC JACOBS 'Petal to the Metal' Flap Pouchette

It's funny that 3 out of the 4 bags are Marc Jacobs. I do love their style though..
MARC BY MARC JACOBS 'Petal to the Metal' Flap Pouchette
Okay so this cutie is really small... Despite it's size, the price is still more than both the DKNY one and the Percy. But I LOVE the little birdy on the front and the overall vintage feel of the bag. It's very, very small and definitely would not fit what I want to carry around during the trip, but it's so cute that I had to add it on my list! (lol, I just couldn't let it go) It comes in three colors -- Shell, Nude, and Black. I like Nude best because Black is never good for summer and Shell (which is similar to the DKNY bag) is a little too light. They also have a bigger version with this style, but that one is slightly too big for what I need -.-"...
(-sigh- You can never get exactly what you want, can you?)

After all this searching, I think I may settle for either the DKNY one or the Natasha. They both fit most with what I want. Do you have a better recommendation for me?

Leave me a Rawr(: . Thanks!
