Handbag Thursday: Longchamp Le Pliage!

Hi all!

I'm a little late on this post, sorry x; I wanted to do a little review on this awesome bag, the Longchamp Le Pliage. It is absolutely the MOST wearable and versatile bag in the world! (LOL) I am completely in love with it. I have it in the color Bilberry, which is a dark purple and in the size Large. First, the color is beautiful! Second, the large fits... LIKE EVERYTHING. I love using big bags because I can stuff everything in there, especially when I go shopping, so I don't have to carry so much extra stuff. It fits everything that I need for school-- my binder, tablet, water bottles, etc! I even use it for sleepovers, trips, and camps.The last time I went on a weekend trip, I fit my sleeping bag, toiletries, electronic chargers, hymn books, 2 days worth of clothes and pjs, and my stuffed two-headed turtle (hehe..).

Believe it or not, there are a few downsides to the bag though.
1. there is only one small pocket near the zipper on the inside of the bag. I usually put my phone and iPod there and sometimes if I tilt the bag too much, it would fall out of the pocket and into the bag. If I leave the zipper open and put my bag on it's back, my phone would slide out.

2. MANY girls have this bag. When I say many, I mean practically every high school or college female student in New York City uses this bag and I'm not sure it's much different in other states. It's because this bag is so wearable and is the perfect bag for school, that so many girls have it. On top of that, Bilberry, Black, Navy Blue, and Graphite are the most popular colors here. So to add a little bit of distinction to my bag, I added a cute keychain on the handle-- my little Radish Ninja! (haha..) and a keychain on my zipper pull.

3. Lastly, this bag is made of polyamide (basically nylon) fabric with leather handles and such so it is a little expensive considering. The large one, which is the one that I have costs $145 (before tax). Right now I can't find the color Bilberry on either longchamp.com or bloomingdales.com anymore :(
There is one other cool thing about this bag, but I haven't used it since I bought it-- it can fold up like an origami and it makes it a lot easier to bring on a trip or something.

4. 5/5: This bag is so wonderful, I really want to give it a 5 (because it is just so freaking wearable!), but the one thing stopping me is the single shallow pocket. If only the pocket was deeper and longer, rather than wider. (I think for one of the newer styles the pocket is like that, which is good.) Even though a lot of girls have this bag, I still recommend it to any girl. So far, this is the best "everyday bag" I've found.

And if you don't want to have the same exact bag as every other girl, it's no big problem because you can do what I did and add a little charm or purchase a customized one. You can pick the colors of the bag, stripe, and even have your initials imprinted, making it a more special(;

Here's the link for that, in case you were searching.. http://www.longchamp.com/en/home-sur-mesure-usa-560.html?xtatc=INT-10
They also have many different awesome prints and you do get a choice of handle length and such.

(This is all my own personal opinion.Seeing that I've used this bag for about 3 years almost every day carrying absolutely everything and it's still looking like it has been barely used, I wanted to share my review with you^^)

Happy Thursday! (Well, Friday now.. lol)~
